The Øresund Bridge Offices

A welcoming reception area for the Øresund Bridge offices

The brief was to create a reception area, which both served the needs of employees, guests and clients.

The conceptual theme for The Øresund Bridge offices is based on a blue-grey palette, reflecting the typical Danish weather at sea, and a bright yellow, a typical traffic signalling color. These are used with materials as ash wood, concrete and glass.

The reception unit houses three work stations and has a bright, Scandinavian look. The digital counter in the front, shows the number of cars that has passed the bridge since its opening in 2000.

In the long, and a bit dull hallways, we have made grey shade color gradients in the carpets, and have repeated the shades in the doors. The use of yellow and custom made light fixtures, create texture and energy. On the display wall, a monitor shows real time footage filmed from cameras mounted on the two bridge towers. This wall also features frames and display boxes for various campaign exhibits.
