VIP and green room space for Danish Radio Broadcasting

THE CLIENT BRIEF

This area is where guests of DR stay, before they are going on air. Because of that, it was important to create a calming, comforting and welcoming environment.

OUR SOLUTION

This we did by using a palette of muted colors, comfortable furniture and textile materials that dampens acoustics. All is tied together by graphics and decorative elements, inspired by television and radio.

The conversation area is placed in one of the large atriums, and stands out like a blue core in the open space. The area serves the surrounding office areas as a flexible meeting spot.
This is a spot for undisturbed phone conversation, or cosy, informal meetings for small or larger groups.

The surrounding offices wanted a ‘gentleman’s den’ feel – and the color concept is used in the entire area. All textiles, furniture and surfaces are in various shades of blue, in different textures and qualities, combined with walnut and brass. To divide the space, we designed functional units,finished in dark blue linoleum, walnut veneer and brass. More than just dividers, they also feature functional details like bench, light and whiteboard.
